Position: Purchasing Coordinator

Location: Houston, TX (Onsite)

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Hours: M-F 8-5pm

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 / Annually DOE

Description:

Manages the day-to-day procurement operations, processes purchase orders, and coordinates deliveries between internal teams and suppliers

Responsibilities:

Order Processing: Generates, reviews, and tracks purchase orders, requisitions, and change orders for accuracy.

Vendor Coordination: Communicates with suppliers to request price quotes, negotiate basic terms, and confirm delivery schedules.

Problem Resolution: Investigates and resolves delivery discrepancies, damaged goods, or invoice and billing issues.

Record Keeping: Maintains updated pricing, vendor databases, and complete purchasing files or reports.

Internal Support: Collaborates with internal departments (like shipping, warehouse, or finance) to make sure departmental needs are met.

Requirements:

• Prior experience entering purchase orders and communicating directly with the clients on updates on the order and status on delivery.
• High school diploma or an associate's/bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain, or a related field.
• 1 to 3+ years of clerical, administrative, or purchasing experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) or procurement software. (QuickBooks)
• Strong organizational skills, clear verbal and written communication, attention to detail, and basic negotiation abilities.
