Chronograph Data Analyst

Client needs "good solid Chronograph SME's". Among other things, they'd be supporting :
o Building workflows
o Developing Ad templates
o Pulling data from multiple systems (ex: CRM, Investran, etc.)
o Coordinating flow of data from Chronograph to Snowflake to Workiva for reporting

Chronograph is essentially a portfolio monitoring, data management, valuation, and reporting platform built specifically for private equity and other private-capital firms. It helps PE firms replace a lot of the Excel spreadsheets, emails, shared drives, and manual quarterly reporting processes they traditionally use.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst / Chronograph SME to support a private equity organization in managing, transforming, and migrating data across its portfolio companies. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert for the Chronograph private equity data platform, partnering with investment, operations, finance, and technology teams to ensure portfolio-company data is accurately collected, standardized, integrated, and reported. The ideal candidate will have direct private equity experience and a strong understanding of portfolio-company reporting, investment data, financial and operational KPIs, and PE data workflows. Responsibilities will include managing and optimizing data workflows within Chronograph, mapping and migrating data from portfolio companies and legacy systems, performing data validation and reconciliation, defining data requirements and transformation rules, troubleshooting data-quality issues, and supporting integrations with the broader data environment. Candidates should have hands-on experience working with modern cloud data platforms, particularly Snowflake and Microsoft Azure, and be comfortable working with SQL, structured and unstructured datasets, ETL/ELT processes, and data-migration initiatives. Strong communication skills are critical, as this person will serve as a bridge between investment/business stakeholders and technical data teams.

Must-Have Qualifications

Hands-on Chronograph experience within a private equity environment
Previous experience working directly within private equity, alternative investments, or PE portfolio-company data
Experience managing portfolio-company data collection, reporting, and data workflows
Strong data migration, mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation experience
Working knowledge of Snowflake and Microsoft Azure
Strong SQL and data analysis skills
Understanding of financial, operational, and investment-related datasets and KPIs
Ability to translate business requirements into technical data requirements
Experience partnering with investment, finance, portfolio operations, and technology stakeholders
Ability to independently identify data-quality issues and drive them through resolution
Ideal Profile: A hands-on data analyst who understands both the business side of private equity portfolio reporting and the technical side of data migration and cloud data platforms, with Chronograph serving as the critical bridge between the two.
